The face of beauty is changing; global beauty is evolving into a landscape of beauty fanatics who have an individualized beauty style and want to make a statement. Hudson’s Bay is Canada’s headquarters for beauty. They carry the right shade of foundation, lipstick, nail polish and fragrances, that will compliment any women’s universal edge for Spring and Summer of 2014. They have the products women need to maintain and enhance their natural born good looks. Furthermore, beauty advisors are trained to work with all skin types and are waiting to answer their questions and suggest the right products for them. HBC’s merchandise passes through one of 11 distribution centres located across the country. The company also reported $4.1 billion in total assets. The 99 Bay stores are the traditional and best-known face of HBC. They aim to offer a full range of goods and services typically associated with department stores and feature proprietary brands.
Hudson’s Bay Cosmetics at Bramalea City Centre hosted the Great Beauty Gala on Saturday, April 26, 2014. Two of our GLOW Aesthetician grads for nail color and two make-up artists were placed to work on a series of three runway shows held by HBC. Our students created runway Smokey make-up looks, with the best student look receiving a gift basket worth over $200 and a letter of recommendation on volunteer hours. This was a great practical opportunity offered to our GLOW girls to expand their portfolios. It gave them a chance to familiarize themselves with not only with what HBC offers, but a highly likely chance of securing regular employment with HBC for those that choose to pursue it. We at GLOW Academy pride ourselves in seeing our students/grads succeed and assist with numerous industry placements to show off our student/grad talent.
